1. ‘friendship first: the manual – ordinary Christians discussing good news with ordinary Muslims’ (also being developed as a course) & ‘Grace for Muslims: the Journey from Fear to Faith’, both by Steve Bell.

2. ‘Encountering The World of Islam’- Embracing Muslims with the Love of Christ; comprehensive book & 12-session course. Presently being run in the UK in Manchester, Bradford, London & Liverpool. But this course can also be taken online. The website has information about the book, online course and local classes. http://www.encounteringislam.org. 3. ‘The World of Islam’ CD-ROM includes over 50 of the best books, 11 study courses, a dozen maps and many photos, available from Kitab.

4. Colin Chapman’s ‘Cross & Crescent: Responding to the Challenge of Islam’ (IVP) book & course

5. ‘Ishmael, My Brother’ brings together some good authors in a comprehensive introductory book.

6. dozens of books of testimonies of former Muslims e.g. ‘My Year Inside Radical Islam’, ‘Out of Islam’, ‘I Dared to call him Father’, ‘Persian Springs’, ‘The Torn Veil’, ‘Into The Light’, ‘The Fifth Pillar’, ‘The Blood of the Cross, Blood of The Sword’. 3. ‘Cross & Crescent: Responding to the Challenge of Islam’ from Faith to Faith / Global Connections. A course based on the book of the same name by Colin Chapman that is run regionally over five sessions to equip you in understanding Islam and encourage you in your Christian witness. Contact the ‘Faith to Faith’ team at Global Connections (office@faithtofaith.org.uk ) for more details. The course has a minimal cost and is available on the Global Connections website. A new five-session course is also available called 'Reflecting on Islam' that can be puchased online in a pdf format.
